tGroovy properties

Function

tGroovy allows you to enter
customized code which you can integrate in the Talend programme. The code is run only
once.

Purpose

tGroovy broadens the
functionality if the Talend Job, using
the Groovy language which is a simplified Java syntax.

Basic settings

Groovy Script

Enter the Groovy code you want to run.

 

Variables

This table has two columns.

Name: Name of the variable called
in the code.

Value: Value associated with the
variable.

Advanced settings

tStatCatcher Statistics

Select this check box to collect the log data at component
level.

Global Variables

ERROR_MESSAGE: the error message generated by the
component when an error occurs. This is an After variable and it returns a string. This
variable functions only if the Die on error check box is
cleared, if the component has this check box.

A Flow variable functions during the execution of a component while an After variable
functions after the execution of the component.

To fill up a field or expression with a variable, press Ctrl +
Space
to access the variable list and choose the variable to use from it.

Usage

This component can be used alone or as a subjob along with one
other component.

Limitation

Knowledge of the Groovy language is required.
