tJobFailure – Docs for ESB 6.x

tJobFailure

Throws an exception and stops the Action or Flow execution when an error
occurs.

It is possible to use the tLogCatcher component with tJobFailure to show the error message in the log.

This component is placed in an Integration Action to stop its execution in the Studio or
in the Cloud when an error occurs.

tJobFailure Standard properties

These properties are used to configure tJobFailure running in the Standard Job framework.

The Standard
tJobFailure component belongs to the Talend Cloud family.

This component is available in the Palette of the
Integration
perspective of the Studio only if you have subscribed
to one of the
Talend Platform
solutions or Big Data
solutions.

Basic settings

Error Type

Enter the error type in the field.

You can define the error type according to your needs and the value
you define in this field will show in the run detail page when you run
the Flow in the web application.

Error Message 

Set the java expression of the error message in this field. The error
message you define here should correspond to the error type you set in
the Error Type filed.

Advanced settings

tStatCatcher Statistics

Select this check box to gather the Job processing metadata at the Job
level as well as at each component level.

Usage

Usage rule

This component is used with other components in the Talend Cloud family, especially with tJobLog to design Integration Actions. These
Integration Actions can then be published to the web application and
used to design Flows in the Cloud.
