tJobLog – Docs for ESB 6.x

tJobLog

Collects and shows exception data during the execution of the Integration Action in
the Studio or the Flow in the Cloud.

This component is used in Integration Actions to debug their execution and
decide what type of log information to send to the Studio or Cloud user.

To be able to use this component to generate logs, you must enable the Log4j option in the
project settings in the Studio.

tJobLog Standard properties

These properties are used to configure tJobLog running in the Standard Job framework.

The Standard
tJobLog component belongs to the Talend Cloud family.

This component is available in the Palette of the
Integration
perspective of the Studio only if you have subscribed
to one of the
Talend Platform
solutions or Big Data
solutions.

Basic settings

Level

Developer: Select this option to
provide log information to the developer to analyze or debug the
execution of the Integration Action in the Studio.

User: Select this option to provide
log information to the web user regarding the execution of the Flow,
which uses the Integration Action, in the web application.

Log message

Enter the java expression of the log message you want to show to the
developer to debug the execution of the Integration Action, or you want
to show to the web user to debug the execution of the Flow in the
Cloud.

Priority

Select the type of the log message from the Priority list.

You can select to display the message as an error message, a fatal
error, a warning and so on.

Advanced settings

tStatCatcher Statistics

Select this check box to gather the Job processing metadata at the Job
level as well as at each component level.

Usage

Usage rule

This component is used with other components in the Talend Cloud family, especially with tJobFailure to design Integration Actions.
These Integration Actions can then be published to the web application
and used to design Flows in the Cloud.
